Like his long-suffering former wife, superstar dwarf Tom Cruise has had a lucky escape. Ginger Clam can reveal that the private plane used on the set of the star’s new movie Mena has been involved in a devastating accident.
Two men were killed in the tragedy on Friday. A third man on board the doomed flight has survived and is undergoing treatment in a Colombian hospital.
Cruise, who had earlier been pictured arriving on set in the same fateful jet, is said to be devastated at the news.
The plane was downed in a remote area of the Andes Mountains after leaving the set of Mena, the new thriller that Cruise has just finished shooting. Severe weather appears to have been to blame for the horrific crash.
It has been reported that Tommy boy himself battled the weather issues – the star followed the same flight path just 10 minutes before the tragic jet departed.
One of the men killed, Alan D. Purwin, was the world’s most celebrated movie pilot. His blockbuster credits include Tropic Thunder, Armageddon, Pearl Harbor and Transformers.
He recently posted this picture with Cruise alongside the caption: ‘Pushing the envelope in every way. Working on a super interesting, true story film with Tom Cruise.’
Ginger Clam’s restraining order meant she was unable to call Cruise for a quote on the incident.
