Hollywood actress Demi Moore has spoken for the first time following yesterday’s shock discovery of a dead man in a swimming pool at her family home.
Cops have identified the apparent drowning victim as 21-year-old Edenilson Steven Valle, who was pronounced dead after paramedics battled in vain to revive him at 5:30am Sunday.
Demi, 52, said in a statement: “I am in absolute shock. I was out of the country travelling to meet my daughters for a birthday celebration when I got the devastating news.
“The loss of a child is an unthinkable tragedy and my heart goes out to this young man’s family and friends.”
It is understood that neither Demi nor any of her kids were at home during the tragedy, which is said to have occurred during a party that was thrown by an assistant.
Moore was recently pictured on Instagram (above) with daughters Scout (right) and Tallulah next to a swimming pool. It is not known if it is the pool where the tragedy occurred.
