A powerful wave is in full motion and a change is a-coming! Forget about reform in North Korea, the climate debate or freeing penguins from Sea World. The biggest movement in 2015 is set to be ‘Free The Nipple’.
Miley Cyrus is the latest star to burst into the media debate – with her breasts.
The sexy star posted a topless picture on her Instagram page today to draw attention to the cause. Led by celebrities such as Chelsea Handler, the campaign is steadily building pace. Ginger Clam has been standing naked in Times Square all day but so far the only impact has been on traffic flow.
The movement describes itself as:
Free The Nipple is a film, an equality movement, and a mission to empower women across the world. We stand against female oppression and censorship, both in the United States and around the globe. Today, in the USA it is effectively ILLEGAL for a woman to be topless, breastfeeding included, in 35 states. In less tolerant places like Louisiana, an exposed nipple can take a woman to jail for up to three years and cost $2,500 in fines. Even in New York City, which legalized public toplessness in 1992, the NYPD continues to arrest women. We’re working to change these inequalities through film, social media, and a grassroots campaign.
Whilst the campaign sounds like a tremendous cause, Ginger Clam is delighted to hear that celebrity nipples are to be involved in the battle. This beats bullets, nuclear weapons and cyber hacking.
Unless Rosie O’Donnell gets involved. Then it just gets horrific.
When Miley’s breasts aren’t fighting for political change it seems that they now spend most of their time in Patrick Schwarzenegger’s hands. The Terminator’s son continues to be spotted on dates with Lady Cyrus and were spotted yesterday enjoying a meal in a restaurant called ‘The Kneadery’ in Ketchum, Idaho. Presumably this was to subtly indicate that he’d be ‘kneading’ her breasts for dessert.
