Friday on BBC 1 Scotland: Your Curated Line‑up for the Night

The evening’s slate starts with a mix of light‑hearted quiz shows, slick reality and a bit of late‑night drama. Below is a quick, opinionated rundown of what’s worth your time.

The Graham Norton Show – 21:40–22:30

The star‑studded chat show remains a reliable source of laughs and entertainment. While it can be hit‑and‑miss, the mix of music, celebrity interviews and Graham’s own wit usually holds up well.

The Bidding Room – 14:45–15:30

This auction‑style reality show offers a slice of genuine human drama as contestants battle over antiques. It’s a solid pick if you enjoy seeing everyday people become auctioneers for a night.

Celebrity Bridge of Lies – 15:30–16:15

Ross Kemp’s quiz format is engaging, but the stakes feel a bit low compared to other game shows. Still, it offers a light‑hearted break with familiar faces.

Pointless – 16:15–17:00

Alexander and Andi’s quiz is a unique brain‑teaser that feels both fresh and familiar. If you love wordplay, this will hold up well.

Have I Got News for You – 20:30–21:00

The panel’s banter remains sharp and topical. It’s a reliable commentary on current affairs, though it may feel a bit predictable for regular viewers.

The Celebrity Traitors – 19:00–20:05

The reality‑drama format keeps viewers guessing, but the pacing can be uneven. It’s worth a watch for the intrigue, yet it might not satisfy if you’re looking for high‑energy drama.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK – 23:00–00:10

The show’s charisma is undeniable, but the strong language may not suit all viewers. It offers a vibrant, albeit niche, experience.

Bottom line: The evening’s mix offers something for every mood, from light quizzes to sharp satire. Pick a show that fits your vibe and enjoy a well‑rounded night of television.
