Game Show Galore: The Chase Leads the Pack

The Chase returns twice in a row, first with a fresh batch of contestants and then with a celebrity edition. Bradley Walsh’s charismatic hosting keeps the pace brisk, while the Chasers’ knowledge challenges test the brain’s limits. Whether you’re a casual viewer or a trivia devotee, the format’s tension and humour make it a reliable highlight.

My take: The Chase’s blend of speed, wit and a charismatic host turns a simple quiz into a page‑turning narrative. It’s one of the better options for a low‑effort, high‑entertainment evening.

Antiques & Collectables: The Bidding Room & Celebrity Antiques Road Trip

Nigel Havers brings his seasoned eye to The Bidding Room, where everyday owners consult expert dealers before auction. The stakes are real, and the drama of a bidding war is palpable. Later, Sandi Toksvig and Sheila Hancock take the Isle of Wight on a friendly yet competitive antiques challenge, adding a dash of lighthearted rivalry.

Opinion: The Bidding Room offers a grounded, almost documentary feel that contrasts nicely with the high‑energy quiz shows. The Celebrity Antiques Road Trip’s playful competition provides a gentle lift without demanding too much mental effort.

Quiz & Knowledge: Bullseye, Family Fortunes, Cash Trapped, Tenable, Beat The Chasers

After the antiques, the channel shifts focus to pure knowledge contests. Bullseye injects darts into the mix, testing both physical skill and trivia. Family Fortunes brings family dynamics into the mix, while Cash Trapped and Tenable give contestants a chance at substantial cash prizes. Beat The Chasers, the original format that inspired The Chase, offers a nostalgic nod to long‑time fans.

Bottom line: The quiz block is reliable. Each show has its own rhythm, from the physical challenge of Bullseye to the sheer information overload of Cash Trapped. Viewers can switch between light and intense moments without missing a beat.

Truth or Lie: Bridge Of Lies

Ross Kemp guides contestants across a literal bridge of truths and lies, earning money as they step. The format’s psychological twist keeps the audience guessing, turning a simple game into a reflection on honesty.

My view: Bridge Of Lies offers a unique blend of suspense and moral questioning. It’s one of the better options for a break from pure trivia, giving viewers a mental exercise that’s both engaging and thought‑provoking.

Bottom line: With a continuous stream of varied content, Thursday’s lineup on Challenge ensures there’s a show to match any mood. From high‑energy contests to thoughtful antique debates, the schedule is set to keep you entertained from early morning into the night.
