Get ready to witness a million teenage girls crying over their pumpkins. One Direction will play their final live gig on Halloween night before getting ready to go solo in 2016.

According to The Sun in London, the world’s most successful boy band are throwing in the towel, at least for the time being.

Expect to read lots of PR bollocky-boo about how all the guys still love each other, but let’s face it, things just ain’t been the same since the departure earlier this year of Zayn Malik (pictured above with Harry Styles and the other band members, pre-split).

A source told The Sun: “They fully intend to get together in the future. But for now it is the end and they go out as the world’s most popular music act.”

The story broke while One Direction were on stage in Chicago (see link below).

The decision to disband the group means there will be no world tour to support their fifth album: instead the last opportunity that fans will have to see the band will be on October 31 in Sheffield in the UK.

Gingers Clam will be celebrating the occasion by carving out  a commemorative pumpkin, decorated with with lacy panties.
